Since password is the highest mean of securing your data, which can be your account, phone, computer etc.

Two methods to secure your file without encryption software

Put a Password on a Document Using Microsoft Office Word. To do this. You need to have the Microsoft office word of any edition installed on your computer.

  • When install; Open the document you want to secure
  • When open, on the top left side of the document click on file
  • Then click on info (information)
  • Then you will see three options on the interface  protect Document, Inspect Document and Manage Document, since we just want to protect our document, click on the box Protect Document
  • There you will click on encrypt with password
  • Now you will create a password to secure the document.

Notes the caution of the password says: if you lose or forget the password, it cannot be recovered. It is advisable to keep a list of password and their corresponding document names in a safe place.

(Remember that passwords are case sensitive.)

On extra bonus I can say is that never use the same password to secure all the folders because if someone sees one password Oups! All the rest are eventually unsafe because he just need to use the password that he sow on the rest of the folders to jet access to it.
